The Israeli FOE: Source vagabond systems.
I picked the Source as an example of Israeli FoE company. It's fairly difficult to find a local consumer that hasn't heard of the company or used it's products in everyday life or during the army service. However, much less to say the least, is known about that company's philosophy and policies regarding the suppliers, employees, customers, environment and local communities. And that I intend to fix in the following few lines.
Source has truly embraced the FoE philosophy and has adopted it as it's business model from the early days, which allowed the growth from a one-room apartment to today's full-scale in-house production facility with 200+ employees and worldwide customer base.
The company is committed not only to bring original, functional, long lasting gear to the marketplace but also to incorporate values and humanity in all forms and areas of the business, to encourage themselves to identify and share responsibility, to liberate the working environment by excluding prejudice in all forms, to embrace human relations as an extended family within the company and to advance towards the goal of environmental sustainability.
Implementing that philosophy takes form of company's commitment statement:
regarding the customers:

regarding the environment:

regarding the society:
- By being part of the business sector, which is the strongest most skilled element in a living community, we bare responsibility to share both our resources and management skills with all members of our nearby community.
- Each year 5% of our net profit is dedicated to the social or environmental activities in our nearby community.
- We strive to create ground breaking initiatives for a meaningful social change within our community.
· As such we strive to have our suppliers, our own organization, our distributors and our retailers allocate 1% of their income, associated with SOURCE® products, to the social and environmental projects through the SOURCE® "Give One Chance" foundation.
